Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, W1D 4HT , [Venue Details]Formed in 1996 by American guitarist Ry Cooder and Cuban bandleader Juan de Marcos González, the original Buena Vista Social Club brought together Cuba’s finest veteran musicians to revive the island’s rich pre-revolutionary sounds.
Their eponymous 1997 album became a global phenomenon, winning a Grammy and celebrating the timeless magic of Cuban music.
The Buena Vista All Stars bring that spirit to life in a live revue Upstairs at Ronnie's. This will be an evening of son, bolero, danzón, and cha-cha-cha performed by the finest Cuban musicians in the UK.
